Don
Sull
His most recent
book is “Revival of the Fittest: Why Good Companies Fail and
How Great Managers Rebuild Them.” Mr. Sull has devoted the
last five years to understanding successful corporate transformations
working with Nokia, Ericsson, Samsung, Daewoo, Compaq, Apple and
Siebel, among others. He has published his research in the Harvard
Business Review, Industrial and Corporate Change, The Financial
Times, Business History Review, and the European Management Journal,
and been interviewed by CNN, BBC and NPR.
Prior to joining the
Harvard faculty, Mr. Sull taught strategy at the London Business
School. He received his Doctorate in Business Administration and
an MBA with High Distinction from Harvard Business School. Mr. Sull
also received his AB with honors in Government from Harvard University.
Before entering academia, Mr. Sull worked as a consultant with McKinsey
& Company. He also worked with the leveraged buyout firm Clayton,
Dubilier & Rice and was a member of the management team that
restructured the Uniroyal-Goodrich Tire Company
Mr. Sull is a member
of the Advisory Board of Orange Advisory. He has also served as
an advisor to multinational firms in Korea, Sweden, Switzerland,
Finland and England and worked with several new ventures.
Mr. Sull and Martín
Escobari, president of Orange Advisory are writing “Companies
Made in Brazil,” about ten Brazilian companies which successfully
transformed themselves to compete globally over the last decade.
This book will be published in December 2003.
